‘Let us not give up meeting together… but encourage one another, especially now that the day of His return is drawing near.’
Hebrews 10:25

We have multiplied many times since the days of Hang Fook Camp.

These days, we meet together in lots of different sized groups all over Hong Kong every week; in houses and parks, on buses and rooftops, in restaurants and in old factory buildings. All of it could be described as ‘church’.

We have Small Families, which are groups of three upwards, or however many can fit in a sitting room. We worship, pray for each other and talk in a more intimate setting. We also have Big Families, which are made up two or three small families and meet once a month.

Our congregations are the biggest meeting and these happen most Sundays. Our extended family (all ages) come together for worship, Bible sharing and prayer. Often we all eat together.

Worship is a big part of our life. We sing old songs and new; in Cantonese, Mandarin (sometimes Nepalese or Cebuano) and English. We have many musicians growing up in our houses who play instruments, and some of the teenagers learn to dance in our education programme and use their gifts and energy to glorify God in worship.

We meet all over Hong Kong so that we have a better chance of reaching the poor in the local areas. We think this is more effective than having one centralised meeting each week.

We currently have congregations who meet in the following areas of Hong Kong:

  • Kowloon City - Lai Chi Kok
  • East Point - Kowloon Bay
  • Chai Wan
  • New Territories West - Tuen Mun
  • West Kowloon - Tai Kok Tsui
  • Tai Po
