"But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord." - Luke

Christmas Outreach

Over the Christmas period, we held parties all over the city to celebrate the birth of Emmanuel, inviting our friends and neighbours from all walks of life and in every circumstance, to rejoice with us at the coming of the King. We shared food, we played games, we heard the Christmas story, we prayed for the sick, and many came to know the Jesus of Christmas, all over Hong Kong.

In Kowloon, close to 100 of our neighbours were invited to our Healing Service on Christmas Eve where we served up roast turkey and wonton noodles, and prayed for those who were sick. Many of those who came were touched by the power and goodness of God.

Our Arts in the Community families celebrated Christmas with an Arts party where children and their parents did Christmas-themed art with their parents, and everybody got to hear the Christmas story and worship the king. And eat a Christmas lunch!

Kowloon West

300 and more hungry people were at this street party in Sham Shui Po and heard the message of Christmas. Our team shared Jesus and prayed for many on that night.

Off the street, at the West Kowloon Christmas party, we invited a smorgasbord of different people from our neighborhood that included lonely elders, the homeless, orphans and single parent families. We shared a feast with them and all our families left with a Christmas gift pack.

Kowloon East

East Kowloon had a string of activities to bring together all the different new people that we have been meeting and building connections with all year. We had large outdoor neighbourhood parties in Ngau Tau Kok, Junk Bay, and Kai Tak, where the parties attracted dozens of new people that we can get in contact with in the new year. We also cooked up a Vietnamese meal to share with our Vietnamese friends who live under the flyover in Sham Shui Po. The love of Christ moved two of them to receive Jesus!

New Territories West

Up in the New Territories West, a few days before Christmas, we had a community hotpot dinner for our families and neighbours, where a dozen or so people came to Christ. On Christmas eve, we put on a party for the people we had met on the street in Tuen Mun and Tin Shui Wai in the year. Another dozen or so people came to Jesus on that night!

New Territories East

Over in New Territories East, Christmas was a family affair. A group of young teenagers whom we met on our night outreaches helped to give out 200 bowls of soup to the elderly, sing carols with them, act out the nativity and pray for the sick. Some of these elderly then joined us all for our family Christmas where we worshipped Jesus, ate yummy turkey and played lots of fun games on the football pitch. We also took Christmas to the streets where we worshipped with the kids and families in a park!

Hong Kong Island

On HK Island, we held a house block party for our neighbours in Mid levels that was standing room only! A number of people turned up who met us for the first time, and were surprised at the warmth and love of the worship and fellowship. In the new year, we will continue to build on these new relationships.

Chai Wan

To celebrate Christmas, we cooked and brought hot food to the friends living in “coffin houses” whom we have been getting to know this year. We ate with them, shared Jesus and prayed for our friends. We also brought the teens in our congregation to a nursing home and shared the joy of Christmas with the friends that we have made there.

Go Kids

The Go Kids Christmas party was attended by more than 250 people! All the families that have been coming to Go Kids and some of our friends, came together for kids-centred party with face-painting, games and the message of Christmas. From this there are now over eleven families willing to be followed up.
